Jeremy Caplan

Jeremy is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York. He uses AI on a daily basis for everything from organizing brainstormed ideas to transcribing and summarizing meetings. Over the past 10 years he has supported hundreds of journalists around the world developing their own niche journalism ventures. A former Time Magazine reporter, he writes Wonder Tools, a weekly newsletter spotlighting the most useful tools for creative productivity to help people make the most of their time. After studying public policy at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, Jeremy earned an MS in Journalism as a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University and an MBA at Columbia Business School as a Wiegers Fellow.

Nikita Roy

Nikita Roy is a data scientist, journalist, and Harvard-recognized AI futurist. As a Knight Fellow at the International Center for Journalists and the lead of the AI Journalism Lab at City University of New York's Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, she focuses on AI literacy in the news industry. Nikita is also the host of the globally acclaimed Newsroom Robots podcast incubated at Harvard Innovation Labs. It has ranked among the top technology podcasts in over 30 countries on Apple Podcasts. She conducts AI workshops for newsrooms and universities, including The Economist, The Boston Globe, Stanford University, and the University of Toronto. Her insights have been featured on BBC, CBC, Nieman Lab, Quartz and Yahoo Finance. Nikita is the president of the Canadian Association of Journalists - National Capital Region chapter. An alumna of Harvard University and the University of Toronto, Nikita develops AI products and advises on AI strategy.
